William King Is One of Europe’s Leading Independent Metal Processing and Service Centres

Our group, which includes William King Ltd, Mi-King Ltd and Mi-King s.r.o, operates three world-class facilities that add value to customer supply chains through metal processing and just-in-time delivery of metals across a range of industrial sectors.

From our three European sites, we provide products and services in:

• Steel including high-tensile, prepainted, stainless steels, light gauge steels including tinmill products
• Electrical steel
• Aluminium

We supply into all manufactured goods sectors, ranging from automotive, mobility and domestic appliance through to packaging and engineering industries.

Our deep knowledge of metal processing enables us to deliver customised steel and aluminium solutions at pace, with total consistency.

Our History

William King’s origins can be traced back to the 1820s when it was an ironmonger business, Edmund Boughton and Co, in Gloucester, UK.

The company continued to expand during the 19th Century to include iron and steel warehousing, trading and tinplate production, with operations in Gloucester, Birmingham and South Wales.

Jump forward to 1905 and Mr William King purchased the Birmingham operation of Edmund Boughton and Co. Unfortunately, the owner died in 1917, and the business was acquired by Henry William Worley, the grandfather of the current Chairman, Michael Worley, and great-grandfather of the current Managing Director, Rachel Graville.
